Dayton Children’s Hospital, a freestanding children’s hospital in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting an additional pediatric surgeon to join a current team of 5 in a robust pediatric surgery and neonatal practice.

This is a full-time position, employed by Dayton Children’s Specialty Physicians, and includes a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation and benefit package. The successful candidate must be BC/BE in pediatric surgery and hold or obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license.

ABOUT DAYTON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL:

Dayton Children’s serves a pediatric population from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. The main campus is located near downtown Dayton, and a south campus is located just south of Dayton in Miamisburg, Ohio.

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine department of pediatrics and its residency program are based at Dayton Children’s.  All of our physicians hold faculty appointments at the Boonshoft School of Medicine and teach medical students and residents.  Residents in general surgery, neurology, pediatrics, family medicine, child psychiatry, emergency medicine and orthopedics train at Dayton Children’s. Dayton Children’s is a primary training site for the Boonshoft School of Medicine surgical residency as well as surgical residents from Grandview Hospital and multiple programs through the Henry Ford system in Detroit and the surrounding areas.

Dayton metro area is the fourth largest in Ohio and is noted for its association with aviation, most notably due to the Wright brothers’ invention of flight.  The city is home to the National Museum of the United States Air Force, some of the best private and public schools in the state, a vibrant arts and entertainment community, and a beautiful system of parks, trails, and river corridors.
